I used Capitec personal loan when my car broke down and I needed money quickly for repairs. I applied on the app, and honestly, the process was much easier than I expected. They didn’t give me the full amount I wanted, but they showed me what I qualified for and what the monthly repayment would be. The money was available very fast after I accepted the offer. That part really helped me because I was stressed and needed the car for work. The only thing I will say is: don’t just take the loan because it is easy. The interest and fees are real, and the monthly debit order comes every month whether life is going well or not. For me it worked, but only because I took less than the maximum and made sure I could afford it.

My experience with Capitec loan was not good. When I took the loan, I wanted the debit order to go off at month end because that is when I get paid. Later the debit order went off earlier than expected, and that messed up my whole budget. I had other things to pay, groceries, transport, school stuff, and suddenly money was gone before I was ready. When I contacted them, I felt like no one really listened properly. It was just terms and conditions, special arrangement, call here, go there. Eish, it was frustrating. I never missed payments before, so it made me angry to feel like I was the problem. The loan itself is easy to get if you qualify, but please check the debit order date properly and keep proof. One wrong date can make your month very difficult.
